Secrets of the Most Successful Affiliates

Affiliates who make thousands of dollars each month through article marketing write numerous articles using long-tail, low competition keywords for products that are in demand with excellent sales letters. Their articles consist of reviews and "How to use the product" types.

When a product "hits the jackpot," they write more articles on that subject, using the same keywords but with another account so that they can actually get two articles (or more) high on the search engines on those keywords. We will soon hear from at least two article marketers who are making over $10,000 per month using these methods, combined with pay-per-click advertising.

Affiliates who earn big bucks with pay-per-click advertising also do the keyword research required to find overlooked keywords. In addition, they closely manage their Google and Yahoo accounts and statistics to make sure that they are not overpaying for traffic, and that every campaign is earning money every day.

...the most successful affiliates... [avoid] common mistakes, [such as] failing to do enough promotion... using incorrect or out-of-date information...[and] underestimating the competition.

Common Mistakes with Affiliate Marketing

1. Failing to do enough promotion. Promotion must be maintained -- either through articles, pay-per-click, blogging, social networking or forum/blog posting. At least two hours per day should be focused on these activities if you want to make sales.

2. Using incorrect or out-of-date information. There is a great deal of free information on the Web about systems that no longer work, because search engines have changed or other circumstances are different. There is also a lot of information that is simply incorrect. You will get up-to-date information at WebMoneyTraining that works!

3. Underestimating the competition. When using AdWords, you are trying to compete with many others on the same keywords. It is very important when doing your keyword research using the Google tool (see keywords module for more information) to check on the estimate of competing advertisers on a particular keyword.
