Choosing an Affiliate Program

There are many affiliate programs from which to choose. The best way to work with affiliate products is to find a series that are related to each other. Make sure that the topics are closely related. In choosing your products, focus on markets where people have money and are willing to spend it. For example, you would not want to be selling a series of products on "How to save money on grocery bills." People who are worried about their grocery bills probably do not have a great deal of money to spend on other types of products (or even an eBook on that topic).

On the other hand, "identity theft" may be a good product because generally the people who are concerned about this topic have good credit ratings and assets that they want to protect. People who do not have good credit records and perhaps less money would not be interested in such a topic.

Brainstorm a list of potential products that you may want to sell. It also helps if you already know something about the related topics, because you will be writing reviews and articles. For ideas, go to http://clickbank.com/ and check out the selection of affiliate programs available there.

Look at the WebMoneyTraining products as well. Another great place to get ideas is by going to amazon.com - these days it seems that they sell almost everything there. You can also check out the articles on http://ezinearticles.com/. Many of the writers there are affiliates.
